About the Program
The Survival Skills & Sustainable Living Institute equips individuals and communities with practical, hands-on skills that promote self-sufficiency, resilience, and long-term sustainability. The program focuses on reducing dependency while empowering people to meet their own basic needs.
Participants receive instruction in essential life skills, including water sourcing, food cultivation, renewable energy, emergency preparedness, and other practical techniques that strengthen both individual and community resilience.
The institute provides exposure to construction, trade education, and vocational skills that create pathways to employment, entrepreneurship, and community development while teaching participants how to build and maintain essential infrastructure.
Through farming, gardening, food preservation, and sustainable land management, participants learn how to produce healthy food, reduce waste, and care for natural resources while strengthening local food systems.
The long-term vision is to help establish communities capable of providing many of their own essential resources through shared knowledge, collaboration, and sustainable practices that improve quality of life for future generations.
Future initiatives may include apprenticeship programs, eco-villages, community farms, tiny home construction programs, renewable energy demonstration sites, and regional sustainability training centers that can serve communities across California and beyond.
Teaching practical skills today to create resilient, sustainable communities for tomorrow.
