About the Initiative
The National Gang Intervention & Peace Tour is a nationwide community outreach initiative dedicated to reducing violence, restoring hope, and creating pathways toward peace. EVAH Have Life will bring intervention, mentorship, healing resources, and opportunity directly into communities impacted by gang violence and cycles of trauma.
Through proactive violence prevention and conflict mediation, the initiative will work alongside community leaders, families, organizations, and trusted neighborhood voices to help de-escalate conflicts before they become violent. The goal is to encourage communication, accountability, reconciliation, and peaceful alternatives to retaliation.
Young people vulnerable to violence, gang involvement, or negative influences will be connected with youth intervention programs and former gang member mentors who understand the realities they face. Mentorship will focus on personal development, decision-making, leadership, education, employment, entrepreneurship, and creating a vision for life beyond the streets.
The tour will host peace rallies and community healing events designed to bring neighborhoods together in safe, positive environments. Events may incorporate healing circles, family resources, motivational speakers, music, art, youth activities, wellness resources, and opportunities for community members to reconnect around a shared commitment to peace.
Our mission is to reduce violence, promote healing, and build pathways to opportunity. Beyond preventing individual acts of violence, the initiative seeks to address the conditions that contribute to cycles of violence by connecting individuals and families with mentorship, education, employment resources, entrepreneurship opportunities, wellness support, and positive community networks.
As the initiative expands nationwide, EVAH Have Life envisions developing a documentary series highlighting transformation and community solutions, conducting school tours, utilizing hip-hop and arts engagement to reach and inspire young people, and establishing trained violence interruption teams in communities where additional intervention and support are needed.
Cultivating peace nationwide by healing communities, empowering youth, interrupting cycles of violence, and creating real pathways toward opportunity.
